SC707: Radar Remote Sensing (course flier)(Spring 2007 Syllabus)

Principles of radar systems and signal analysis with emphasis on environmental remote sensing. Antenna fundamentals, wave propagation/scattering, radar equation, radar cross-section, target characteristics, ambiguity function, radar components, pulse compression techniques, and aperture synthesis. Highlighted systems include ground-penetrating radars, synthetic aperture radar, weather radars, and incoherent scatter radars.

SC455: Electromagnetic Systems

Electric and magnetic fields. EM wave propagation, reflection, and transmission. Antennas and radiation. Radio links, wireless communication systems. Electromagnetic effects in high-speed digital systems.

EK307 Electric Circuit Theory

Introduction to electric circuit analysis and design; voltage, current, and power, element I-V curves, circuit laws and theorems; energy storage; frequency domain, frequency response, transient response; sinusoidal steady state and transfer functions; operational amplifiers, design.
